Straight off the Lake District fells or dressed to the nines, you will find a warm welcome at Lake Road Wine Bar in the heart of Ambleside. Lake Road is a popular independent bar run by enthusiastic and friendly locals Mike and Jackie Brass who, along with their cheerful staff, ensure a good time is had by all. The bar is spacious and comfortable with a laid back feel and intimate atmosphere. The décor is a clever blend of contemporary and traditional, housed in a slate building on the main thoroughfare through Ambleside. We're handy for most restaurants, car parks and guest houses.
Lake Road Wine Bar is a place frequented by a great mixture of locals, students and visitors and there is an easygoing vibe with an eclectic selection of music. There is an extensive drinks selection with a 30 bin wine list including whites, reds and roses by the glass as well as full and half bottles. There’s also a great choice of draught and bottled beers, lagers and ciders and a huge range of spirits served beautifully. A Stafco coffee machine provides delicious cappuccinos, espressos and mocha lattes from freshly ground Farrers of Kendal coffee beans.
